Our connections don’t end when youth leave our programs. We continue to address your needs as you plan for what’s next and encourage you to achieve your goals. A lifetime of support for a lifetime of recovery.

YSS offers scholarships as you continue on your journey forward and pursue higher education or trade programs.

 

Mary Ann and Jim Black Collegiate Recovery Scholarship

This scholarship supports graduates of Ember Recovery (YSS’s residential addiction treatment program) to further their education at Iowa State University or another college/university.

Criteria:

  • Successful completion of an Ember/YSS treatment program
  • Maintained sobriety for six months
  • Pursuit of a degree at Iowa State University, at a community college with a desire to transfer to Iowa State University, or at another institution of higher education.
