This week’s presenters will be Rusty Johnson, YSS Prevention Specialist, Tina Palmer, Iowa Dept. of Public Health Community Health Consultant and Lora Kracht, Community Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Manager.

Families are home together more than usual, and YSS has received questions about what every parent thinks about, “the talk.” Parents want to be receptive to open conversations with their kids and are seeking resources to help. To support parents with this information, our first “YSS Let’s Talk” series will be focused on “healthy sexuality” including science-based, medically accurate comprehensive sexual health information. When armed with factual information, adolescents are more likely to make responsible choices regarding their personal behavior.
