YSS receives grant installment from Variety
YSS continues to celebrate its $1 million gift from Variety – the Children’s Charity to fund Ember Recovery Campus.
YSS is a nonprofit organization that empowers youth by providing education to build healthy minds and bodies; counseling to overcome life’s challenges; and stability to focus on the future.
The Variety grant will go toward Ember, YSS’s new recovery campus currently under construction near Cambridge, Iowa. Located on 50 acres of prairie and timber, Ember will offer residential addiction treatment, crisis stabilization, and emergency shelter for youth and young adults.
YSS broke ground on the campus in 2022 and plans to open in late 2024.
“We extend heartfelt appreciation to Variety for their generous funding,” said Andrew Allen, President and CEO of YSS. “Variety has collaborated with us to ensure that Ember will remind families and youth there is always hope.”
