YSS and Variety Celebrate Ember Recovery Campus, Funded by $1 Million Gift

AMES, Iowa  – YSS continues to celebrate a transformational $1 million gift from Variety – the Children’s Charity, which has helped bring Ember Recovery Campus to life.

YSS is a nonprofit organization that creates hope and opportunity by putting kids first. YSS empowers youth by providing education to build healthy minds and bodies; counseling to overcome life’s challenges; and stability to focus on the future.

The Variety grant has supported the construction of Ember, YSS’s state-of-the-art recovery campus near Cambridge, Iowa. Nestled on 50 acres of prairie and timber, Ember is provides residential addiction treatment and crisis stabilization for youth and young adults.

Campus is officially open and welcoming youth from across the state. The campus offers a safe, supportive environment where young people can begin their journey toward healing and recovery. Ember is already making an impact — providing critical care and a renewed sense of hope for youth and families navigating some of life’s toughest challenges.
