YSS Receives Polk County Community Betterment Grant
YSS is honored to announce it has received a $4,500 Community Betterment Grant from the Polk County Board of Supervisors. The funding will support programming in at Iowa Homeless Youth Centers in Polk County, helping YSS continue its mission to create hope and opportunity by putting kids first. The grant will be used to positively impact young adults that are needing access to food/meals. Once that need is addressed, our agency can help young adults start looking at long-term goals around employment, education, and safe housing.
“We are grateful to the Polk County Board of Supervisors for investing in the well-being of our youth,” said Andrew Allen, President & CEO of YSS. “This support helps us expand access to life-changing services and meet the evolving needs of young people in Polk County.”
The Polk County Community Betterment Grant Program provides financial support to nonprofit organizations that promote cultural, recreational, educational, and essential human services to residents throughout the county.
