JOB DESCRIPTION

Help break the cycle of poverty for youth experiencing homelessness in Des Moines!
IHYC is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, self-starter to fill our IHYC Development Coordinator position. This position is responsible for coordinating volunteers, organizing events, managing IHYC social media, and in-kind donations. The ideal candidate would be a team-player but can also work independently, very organized, and has strong interpersonal communications. The IHYC Development Coordinator will work together with a positive and collaborative team to accomplish our goals, and fulfill our mission.

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, PR, business education, or business administration is required.

One year of experience in volunteer program management, public relations/nonprofit organizational management, or event planning is required.

Proficiency with Social Media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, MailChimp is essential.
