The Human Trafficking Rapid Rehousing Youth Advocate provides case management and advocacy services for the housing programs for human trafficking victims at YSS.  The Youth Advocate will provide one-on-one supportive services to human trafficking survivors who reside in housing services at our agency.
The Youth Advocate will provide housing services, landlord interactions and assistance, housing advocacy, moving-in assistance, budgeting, crisis intervention, referrals to appropriate agencies or individuals for services, and assistance remaining housed while in this program.  Duties will include admission of clients, informal assessment of self-sufficiency needs, helping youth set individualized goals, assistance with monthly budgeting, helping youth to obtain food/groceries, providing individual assistance and guidance to clients, leading life skills groups, connecting program participants with mental health professionals, and general supervision of the program.
In addition, the Youth Advocate will provide crisis intervention and make referrals to appropriate agencies/individuals for services as needed.  The Youth Advocate will utilize Positive Youth Development, Trauma-informed Care, Harm-Reduction best practices, and operate a low-barrier housing program in support of transition age youth victims of human trafficking.

A Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field along with two years of experience working with youth and families is required. Previous experience working in a transitional living setting is preferred.
