The Business Development Intern is responsible for assisting YSS to help advance the mission and program by:

  • Working with staff doing various activities like helping with business development and outreach tasks,
  • Assist with marketing and communication outreach within our Aftercare program.
  • Becoming familiar with local community businesses and partnerships.
  • Office and organization duties as needed
  • Assist with special events as needed

  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and take initiative.
  • Interest in helping youth and families and YSS’ mission.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Photography experience a plus.
  • All majors are accepted. The following majors are preferred: Marketing


Training, Supervision, and Benefits:
  • This is an unpaid internship
  • Must attend an orientation to cover YSS policies regarding confidentiality, drug-free work environment, and mandatory child abuse reporting
  • Bi-monthly meetings with supervisor; more meetings will be held if needed.
Time Commitment/Requirements:
  • Must be 19 years or older.
  • Must report weekly hours.
  • Minimum of 8 hours per week.
  • Individuals must have access to reliable transportation
