The Desktop Support Specialist’s role is to support employees with their technology needs. This will include hardware, applications, and systems which directly support the end user computing environment. The Desktop Support Specialist will ensure end user satisfaction and business operation by delivering full, end-to-end resolution of incidents and requests.

  • 1-3 years of experience working in a help desk/user support environment; certifications (Network +, A+, etc.) are preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong communication, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
  • Experience upgrading, repairing, imaging, and deploying workstations.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active Directory user management.
  • Good understanding of basic network troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Skype for Business is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Smart phone device operating systems – Android and Apple iOS; experience with MaaS360 is beneficial.
  • Promptly and professionally resolve and document all workstation, printer, phone and other computer-related support calls for software, hardware or connectivity issues via phone, email, remote access or in person.
  • Install and configure all PCs, telephones (desktop and mobile), peripheral devices (such as printers, and scanners), and conference room display and audio/video equipment.
  • Perform end user provisioning/de-provisioning in various IT systems using Active Directory.
  • Document, update, and maintain asset tracking/management for all related equipment.
