YSS Holiday Giving – Get Involved!

Beginning Nov. 1, YSS is kicking off its annual Holiday Giving program to give back to the community’s youth and families. Donors can bring hope and joy to kids through YSS Giving Trees, Adopt-a-Family, and more.

Giving Trees provide much-needed supplies to YSS’s programs. To participate, visit any of the local businesses listed below, take a tag from the Giving Tree, purchase the requested items, and return the gifts and tag to the tree by Jan. 1.

Along with Giving Trees, YSS is also offering an Adopt-A-Family program to fulfill holiday wish lists for youth and families. Visit the Adopt-a-Family site to view youth profiles, including information such as clothing sizes, toy preferences, etc.

Each donor should expect to give about $75 worth of gifts per sponsored youth. Drop-off locations are available in Ames, Des Moines, and Mason City. Check your youth’s profile for specific drop-off and purchasing instructions.
