As part of the primary prevention strategy, another Training of Presenters is being offered as part of the Children’s Well-Being Collaborative grant.  The focus is to raise awareness and create a common language plus build capacity and sustainability through the 11 counties served by this grant.

After the training, participants will have:

  • Information to deliver a basic Connections Matter workshop in their communities.
  • Ability to educate the public on the intersecting topics of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, brain development, and resilience.
  • Be able to demonstrate how ACEs adversely affect brain development and health outcomes.
  • Understanding of how caring connections serve as a primary buffer for the negative effects of trauma and promote healthy outcomes for all community members.
