Join us for ‘AMP Day on the Hill’ on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 3-4 p.m., at the Iowa State Capitol to hear foster care youth present their 2023 Legislative Agenda. At 3:15 p.m., AMP will hold a press conference to present their 2023 Legislative Agenda. In addition, Gov. Kim Reynolds and YSS President & CEO Andrew Allen will make remarks, and YSS youth and staff will share their lived experiences.

Led by YSS, AMP (Achieving Maximum Potential) is a statewide group that empowers Iowa’s youth to advocate for themselves and make positive changes to the Child Welfare System. The organization offers opportunities for youth in foster care and other out-of-home placements to build life skills, practice advocacy, and connect with their peers.
