COVID 19 Preparedness Plan

A top priority at YSS is the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, volunteers and those we’re serving.  We also know this is a time of uncertainty for many youth and families we serve.

As such, we’ve established an Emergency Response Team/COVID-19 Taskforce.  The interagency taskforce is actively monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Iowa Department of Public Health, and local government agencies to manage this rapidly evolving situation.  YSS has implemented changes related to employee expectations, visitor guidelines, and working to adapt programs to best meet the needs of those we serve.

At this time we request that those who are not feeling well or who have traveled to China, Iran, Italy, South Korea or Japan refrain from visiting our facilities until they are symptom free or have been under isolation for 14 days.

This situation is changing by the day and we will remain vigilant when it comes to implementing procedures to ensure the health and safety of our employees, clients and volunteers, while also working hard to deliver on our mission to create hope and opportunity by putting kids first.
