YSS Receives $5,000 Grant from Bayer Fund
YSS announced today it received a grant for $5,000 from Bayer Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S. This grant will be used towards building a better future by supporting the Kids’ Club meal program, which provides nutritious meals to youth participating in afterschool and summer programming.
“We’re incredibly grateful for Bayer Fund’s support,” said Andrew Allen, President & CEO of YSS. “Proper nutrition is foundational to a child’s growth, learning, and well-being. This grant allows us to serve even more youth and ensure that no child in our care goes without a healthy meal.”
In Bayer Fund and YSS’s mutual goal to see the communities we serve flourish, this grant will support YSS by allowing it to expand access to healthy meals for children in need, strengthen its afterschool enrichment programs, and alleviate barriers to food security.
Bayer Fund supports Bayer’s, one of the country’s largest life-sciences companies, mission of Health for all, Hunger for none by working with organizations and non-profits, like YSS, to support health & wellness and food & nutrition.
“Bayer Fund is proud to support YSS and their work to make real, sustainable impacts in their community,” said Nicole Hayes of Bayer Fund. “Programs like Kids’ Club help combat the critical issue of food insecurity, and we’re honored to play a role with helping even more people in our community have access to healthy, nutritious food.”
